Staff

The Staff directs the day-to-day affairs of the ministries of Christ Community Church. A primary responsibility of the Staff is to serve ministry team leaders and empower them as they build and coordinate ministry teams that will accomplish the work of God.

Katherine Sikma

Katherine is a native of Grand Rapids, MI. After graduating from Calvin College in 2004, she moved to the Pittsburgh area to work for the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO). During her first three years on staff, she served at a church as the Director of Student Ministry, working with Robert Morris University students. She completed a Master’s degree in Higher Education at Geneva College in 2007. She served for two years as an Area Director and Development Associate for the CCO, supervising campus staff and raising money for the organization. In the spring of 2009, CCCSH began its partnership with the CCO, and she joined us to work with young adults and students at Point Park University. She is single and loves living in Pittsburgh.

10 Words (or Phrases) that Describe You: Abba’s Beloved, ENFJ, lover of language, laughter, learning, games, stories, college students, community, and redemption.

Significant Scripture (life prayer verses): Isaiah 42:1-7, “…I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison, and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.”

Vision and Prayer for Christ Community Church: That we would dedicate ourselves to seek first the Kingdom of God, and that we would be the hands and feet of Christ in the world as He is making everything new.

Amber Steele

Amber grew up all over the United States (and also in the Philippines) because her father served in the US Air Force. After graduating from Grove City College with a degree in Elementary Education, she settled down in the Pittsburgh area and has been living here since then. After teaching for a few years, she left the education field to be a stay-at-home mom. She and her husband Greg have two young children, Caleb and Megan. Amber is delighted to serve in a role where she can support children, students and families at CCCSH!

Terry Timm

Background: Born in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Pittsburgh when I was in the 4th grade (been here ever since). Spent a whole lot of time in school (Duquesne University, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and Northern Seminary). Married (Patty) with kids (Nathan, Hannah, Sam and Abby).

Joe Veltri

Background: Native of the south Hills of Pittsburgh. Part technical, part business, jack of all trades – master of none. Married to my partner in life, best friend - Margie.
